Maple Grove Transit, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, Plymouth Metrolink and SouthWest Transit are members of the Suburban Transit Association and are committed to serving suburban communities and connecting the region.
PARTNERSHIP
We collaborate with the Met Council and the Met Council's Metro Transit operations to provide seamless transit services within the region.
ADVOCACY
The Suburban Transit Association is the legislative advocacy group assuring regional suburban transit needs are prioritized properly by elected leaders.
IMPROVEMENT
Founded in 1995, the STA’s purpose is to improve the metropolitan region’s transportation system by providing high-quality suburban transit services.
MISSION: Reducing congestion in one of the fastest growing regions in the country.
MEETINGS ARE THE SECOND MONDAY OF EACH MONTH

The Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) is the public transportation agency for seven suburbs located approximately 15 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul: Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, and Rosemount in Dakota County, Savage, Prior Lake and Shakopee in Scott County.

Plymouth Metrolink is operated by the City of Plymouth with 13 bus routes and Dial-A-Ride service to serve residents and businesses in our community. The city contracts with First Transit to provide Plymouth Metrolink bus service. Our community-oriented public transit services are designed with you in mind.
For commuters.

The City of Maple Grove operates the Maple Grove Transit system offering commuter express and dial-a-ride services. The City contracts with transit companies to provide these transit services. Transit planning, administration, customer service, and marketing is conducted by the city’s Transit Administrator.
